    Issue Related Questions

Do you have solar on the roof?

Is the leak under the solar?

Have you had solar installed since the roof work was completed?

Have you had any other roof-related activity since the roof work was completed? (e.g., House painting, siding, windows, roof cleaning, pool solar)

    Warranty Claims

Upon registering the claim we will dispatch a crew to conduct an inspection and determine the cause of the leak. Please be aware that if the leak is unrelated or not covered under a workmanship warranty there may be an inspection charge of $150.00. RSI workmanship only covers areas repaired by RSI. Severe weather, foot traffic caused by others, broken skylights and HVAC units are not covered unless otherwise specified in the original contract.

    Inspection

The first step for dispatching a crew is conducting an inspection, costing $150 for Solano County and $200 outside Solano County. Please be aware that circumstances like heavy rain, or difficulties in identifying the cause of the leak, may prevent us from performing a temporary repair immediately.

    Temporary Repair

Should we be able to perform a temporary repair (a provisional solution not necessarily fixing the issue permanently but stopping the current leak), the cost starts at $495 for Solano County and $595 for outside Solano County. This price includes two man-hours. Any additional hours will be billed at $89 per man hour, plus the cost of the required materials. Please remember, this is a temporary measure and a permanent estimate will be provided as soon as we can.

    Tarping

In situations where emergency repairs cannot be made, the option of tarping is available. The cost for single-story homes starts at $650.00 plus the cost of the tarp, and for two-story homes, it's $750.00. Keep in mind that a travel fee may apply to properties outside Solano County. Most Homeowner's insurance policies cover emergency tarp services, so we recommend checking your coverage. Though the customer pays upfront, you can seek reimbursement later. Please note that tarping cannot be applied to flat roofs and RSI is not liable if weather conditions (wind, heavy rain, or storms) cause the tarp to come loose. Should we need to retarp, an additional charge will apply.

Billing for these services will occur 1-2 business days post inspection, leak repairs, or tarping and an invoice will be emailed to you. The credit card provided will not be billed until this time.

Next, please call our office at 707-449-7663 to discuss availability of a crew. Our aim is to dispatch teams on the same day, however, the volume of emergency leak repairs and weather conditions can affect this. Should we not be able to dispatch a crew, no charge will be made.
